Rare Power Limited is a biotech startup specializing in innovative solutions for rare neurological diseases. Our company is dedicated to providing exceptional services to rare disease patients through the 3 "C"s: Care, Check, and Cure. We develop transformative therapeutic approaches specifically for repeat expansion diseases, including Huntington’s Disease (HD) and C9orf72 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/frontotemporal dementia (C9ALS/FTD), through applying for orphan drug designation and investigational new drug. Our products target primary toxic species of repeat expansion diseases, as well as downstream pathogenic pathways. We are currently focusing on developing 2 first-in-class drugs specifically against HD and C9ALS/FTD. One of them is also capable of targeting Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). We provide patient care through augmentative and alternative communication tools and AI technologies, keep track of disease progression through vocal digital biomarker development, and work towards drug discovery for spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA) and other neurological diseases.
